Best e-ink tablet for planners
The tablets we would actually plan on this year, at three budgets. Opinionated, and tied to how each one holds a generated planner.
Best overall
The reMarkable Paper Pro is the one to beat. The larger, higher-contrast screen gives a generated L-size planner room to breathe, the writing feel is still the class benchmark, and the software stays out of the way. If budget is not the deciding factor, this is the planner tablet to buy.
Best value
The reMarkable 2 remains the sweet spot. It carries the same distraction-free writing experience at a lower price, and an M-size planner fills its screen beautifully. For most people planning day to day, this is more than enough tablet.
Best for power users
If you want colour, note-taking depth and a warm front light, look at the Supernote A5 X2 Manta for its build and open ethos, or the Boox Go 10.3 for its speed and Android flexibility. Both hold a full planner well; pick on how much of a tinkerer you are.
